Spine of dust jacket has faded somewhat, title re-worked; closed tears 42, 35, 33, 31, 24, 16, 13, 12, 11, 8, 8mm with some concomitant creasing; Small closed chips 10×7, 5×5, 3x3mm. Book has the dust jacket illustration of an aloe ferox pasted on the front cover, otherwise Fine. No 121 of 500, signed by G W R, subscriber Fred Cohen. Top edge gilt. The stippled cloth looks rather like leather but is definitely cloth. 76 colour photo plates, 571 b&w text illustrations. Includes a type-written sheet of the flowering times of different species. Covered in archival plastic.
