On spine the gold title is tarnished but easily legible. Forty four sheets have suffered rodent damage over a maximum of 45x12mm in the bottom corners in the margins, not affecting the text. All pages very slightly yellowed; no noticable foxing. The ink inscription on the front free end paper is by J H Salter; plus bookplate Crede Fiduciae on front paste-down; 2 other signatures, 1 ink and 1 pencil of John Hopley who was a prominent Rhodesian farmer, a Judge in the Cape, a 3 x capped Rugby player for England and maybe Britain’s finest amateur boxer.
