Plates and figures all consist of line drawings all placed at the back.
Foxing occurs throughout the book. Possibly the leather covering is original. Also the tail has been repaired . As the spine and leather cover have been glued together there is no Oxford Channel. Further the leather is very old and has the sticker of ” William Jackson, Bookbinder, Aberdeen”. Further the gold title on the spine has dulled somewhat. Stamped ” E L Museum Library”. 2 of the corners slightly bumped. Leather work re-colored and dubbin-ed.
Consisting of: iv plus 275 pages including “Systematic Index” and 159 plates all line drawings.

Foxed thru’out; difficult to say whether leather is contemporaneous but most likely is. Been repaired on tail, and spine of book is glued to the leather spine so no Oxford Channel; leather is definitely v old and has the sticker of ” William Jackson, Bookbinder, Aberdeen”.
