When the South African Police Services receive this email, and a policeman is shot, their problem is that they don’t know who murdered the sensual and ambitious lawyer Sloet in her luxury Cape Town apartment. So recovering alcoholic Benny Griessel is ordered to reopen the case.

The first investigation discovered next to nothing, only a set of nude photographs, an ex-boyfriend with a rock solid alibi and a bunch of former colleagues full of greed and self interest.

Benny has to deal with immense pressure from his superior, the media and the unfathomable sniper, who won’t stop shooting. And then there’s Benny’s budding relationship with former pop music sensation Alexa Barnard. He has promised to help her rebuild her life and make sure she stays sober for her comeback.

At the same time, Benny must look out for his feisty colleague, Captain Mbali Kaleni. She is hunting the sniper, trying desperately to find what connects him to Hanneke Sloet.
