Hard cover bound this First Edition copy is in Very Good condition, covered in plastic and without a dust jacket. The size of the book is 221x153x55mm. Book is somewhat faded on covers, gold titles on spine not easily legible, top edge coloured brown, other edges somewhat yellowed as could be expected, all pages yellowed esp the b &w photos. Colour frontispiece of salmon flies, 111 photographic plates of which 2 in col, 214 illustrations in text, end-paper maps. With contributions by G.M.L.La Branche, Eric Parker, W.J.M.Menzies, J.A.Rennie, A.H.E.Wood, Wyndham Forbes, Thomas Rook & Alban Baker. The Lonsdale Library attempted to provide the most comprehensive coverage of sporting subjects and in this book has succeeded. Front end paper cracked. Booked bound with endpapers upside down.
